Overview
This tour offers a blend of African and Middle Eastern cultures, allowing for a gradual discovery. Departing from the bustling city of Casablanca in off-road vehicles, we'll journey north to experience the ambiance of Tangier and the Rif Mountains' villages. After soaking in the charm of Fes' Medina, we'll explore the alluring Sahara and other Atlas chain villages. Along the way, we'll venture through the unusual side of Morocco, traversing the slopes of the Anti Atlas amidst lunar landscapes and Sahara plains, all the way to the Atlantic coast, where the sound of the ocean and the fishermen's trade exude poetry. The tour culminates in Marrakech, where you'll be immersed in a magical "Arabian Nights" atmosphere.

Day 1 - Casablanca / Transfer To The Hotel

After you land at Casablanca Mohammed V airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will escort you to your hotel. During this time, our representative will give you a brief summary of your upcoming tour.
We will begin our journey to Fes by driving through picturesque farmlands where olives, grains, vegetables, and grapes are cultivated. Along the way, we will stop to explore Meknes and Volubilis. Volubilis is famous for its Roman ruins, which are remnants of the southernmost frontier of the Roman Empire. Meknes, on the other hand, was founded by Moulay Ismail, the first Arab dynasty ruler, and boasts of several landmarks such as the Medersa Bou Inania and the Bab Mansour, which is the entrance to Moulay Ismail Palace. We will also visit Henri es-Souani, the horse stable and granaries, and enjoy a beautiful view of the city from the rooftop garden and café. Finally, we will reach Fes, check into our hotel, and rest.
After having breakfast, your day will begin with a visit to Fes, which is famously known as "the oldest living Medina in the world". You will be accompanied by a local official tour guide, who will take you through the "souks" (markets) of the Medina. During this tour, you will stop at various places, including the Royal Palace gate, the 9th century Karouine mosque, and University. You will also visit the tomb of the city founder "Moulay Idriss II". For lunch, you will dine at one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina. After lunch, you will continue your tour and explore the Najarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden, and the Batha Museum. On your way back to the hotel, you will take a moment to enjoy the panoramic view of the city.
After having breakfast at your Riad or Hotel, we will depart at around 8 AM for your day trip to Chefchaouen, also known as the "blue city". Situated in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco, it is a popular tourist destination and a charming town located just south of the Mediterranean coastline. Chefchaouen is renowned for its traditional buildings and picturesque blue and white-washed walls of the medina. You can enjoy a leisurely walk through the markets and admire the unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen also offers wonderful views of the Rif Mountains, making it a great destination for photography. In the afternoon, we will return to Fez, and we are expected to arrive at around 07:00 PM.
After the breakfast we will start our day to Merzouga crossing the Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane to arrive to the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys are located. It will be good opportunity to take photos of wilderness in Morocco. Lunch in a small Berber village of Zaida. We continue the way through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscapes of Medilt to arrive to the small town of Rich, Erfoud in which we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet then we continue to Merzouga. Overnight in a hotel near the dunes.
Day 6 - Merzouga / Berber Families / Black Desert / Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night In Sahara)
After having breakfast at the hotel, your desert exploration journey will begin by visiting the village of Khamlia. This village was originally settled by Sudanese slaves and is famous for its unique music and lifestyle. The nearby Merzouga lake, with its flamingos and other bird populations, can also be visited. You may also want to stop by the nomad wire house to check out some authentic Berber handicrafts at lower prices compared to the big cities. In the afternoon, an experienced Camel man will guide you on a camel ride through the mysterious sand/sea of the Erg/Chebbi. You will have the option to spend the night under the stars or in a traditional Berber nomad tent. Dinner will be served in the tent where you will be staying. The package includes dinner, bed, and breakfast.
Day 7 - Merzouga / Errissani / Jorf / Todra Gorges / Dades / Ouarzazate
Following your breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a drive through the scenic Dades Valley en route to Kalaa M'gouna and Ouarzazat. This route boasts of the thousand kasbahs, providing numerous opportunities to capture some of the best photographic shots of the trip. During our journey, we will stop at Kalaa Mgouna, also known as "the rose city," to purchase rose water, which will leave your linens smelling fragrant long after your trip is over. We will then proceed to Skoura and the Dirds Valley, where you can take a leisurely stroll and visit the well-preserved Kasbah Ameridil. Following a sumptuous lunch, you will have time for a hike within the valley before continuing to Ouarzazate, also known as the "Hollywood of Africa," whose stunning landscapes have attracted many renowned movie producers. You will spend the night in a riad.
Day 8 - Ouarzazate / Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou / Taroudant
After enjoying breakfast in your riad, we will set off towards Taroudant via Taznakht, where we will visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest kasbah in Morocco. This UNESCO world heritage site was built during the early 20th century by T/hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, and used to be a stop on his long journey from the sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech. Next, we will head to Taliouine, the saffron capital of Morocco, where you will have the option to visit the saffron cooperative. If you are lucky enough to visit during the saffron harvest, you can meet the Berber families who are busy harvesting the saffron in their fields. We should arrive in Taroudant in the afternoon, where we will explore the ramparts and stroll through the narrow alleys of the Medina. Taroudant is often called "The Little Marrakech" as it was built by the Saadian dynasty and served as their capital before they moved to Marrakech in the 16th century.
Day 9 - Taroudant / Agadir / Essaouira
After enjoying breakfast in the riad, we will depart for Essaouira via Agadir. Our first stop will be in Agadir, which used to be a major tourist destination. After lunch and a brief stroll along the promenade, we will continue towards Essaouira. The coastal route offers breathtaking views, particularly of the Argan trees, which are a famous local feature. You will also see flocks of goats climbing the trees in search of better food than what they can find on the ground. After several stops along the coast, we will arrive at Essaouira in the afternoon. You will spend the night at a riad located in the Medina.
Day 10 - Exploring Essaouira
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel in Essaouira, our day will begin with an exploration of the city. Our itinerary will include a visit to the Skala Fortress, viewing Thuya wood carved by artisans, and strolling through the medina's alleys, where hundreds of handicrafts can be seen. Today's lunch will be Moroccan-style, featuring freshly caught fish that will be cooked to order. Following lunch, you'll have some free time to explore on your own, head to the beach, and enjoy the surroundings. Essaouira has a nickname "City of the Wind" and is a popular destination for surfers from around the globe. The city has a rich history, having been inhabited by numerous civilizations, including the Portuguese, whose influence can be seen in much of its architecture. Despite this, it remains a small village with much charm, and it's known as Morocco's "Jewel of the Atlantic" due to its size and distinctive blue doors and washed walls. Finally, there's an annual festival of "Gnawa music" that takes place in Essaouira. Many musical groups from different parts of Africa and the world come to participate in this festival, which typically begins in the second week of June.
Day 11 - Essaouira / Marrakech
Once you finish breakfast at your riad, you'll have some leisure time before embarking on your journey to Marrakech. Along the way, we'll visit the women's co-operative of Argan oil, where you can witness the extraction process of the oil famous for its culinary, cosmetic, and medicinal uses, and take some photos at various stops. Finally, you'll reach Marrakech and check into your riad. In the evening, after dinner, you'll have the choice to explore the vibrant Jemaa El fna square, where you can immerse yourself in the entertainment provided by magicians, storytellers, musicians, and snake charmers.
Day 12 - Full Day To Visit Marrakech
Experience a full-day tour of Marrakech that includes a visit to the Menara, a stunning pool surrounded by flowerbeds which serves as an irrigation system for the fields around it. The tour will showcase various impressive sights, such as the Koutoubia mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace, and the Dar Si Said Palace museum of jewellery. For lunch, you have the option to dine in the medina, followed by a stroll through the vibrant souks of Marrakech. End your day with a sunset drink on a café terrace overlooking the lively Jamaa El Fna Square before heading back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13 - Marrakech / Ouzoud Waterfalls / Atlas Mountains / Marrakech
One day trip from Marrakech toOuzoud Waterfalls starting from Marrakech in the morning to Ouzoud Waterfalls, this site is located about 170 km from Marrakech, northeast of the city, you will discover the beautiful waterfalls of about 110 m high and a beautiful landscape full of birds and monkeys. You will discover the magnificent waterfalls about 110 m of height and a wonderful landscape populated with birds and monkeys on the arrrival, if you like you can negotiate the services of a local guide to make walks or hikes at a height of 1068m .
Day 14 - Marrakech / Atlas Mountains / Ourika Valley / Marrakech
Embark on a day trip to Ourika Valley from Marrakech, starting in the morning. This journey is considered the easiest and closest day trip from Marrakech and hence, is quite popular. Enjoy a private tour with your own vehicle, driver, and guide to ensure an authentic experience of the valley. Our itinerary focuses on real Berber village life, and we will explore local trails on foot, away from the usual tourist spots. After a fulfilling day, we will return to Marrakech in the evening.
