Day 5 - Ouarzazate / Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou / Marrakech
Following breakfast, we'll embark on a journey to Midelt, crossing the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. Along the way, we'll pass through Ifrane, a delightful ski resort, and Azrou, a significant handicraft center famous for its cedarwood work. Once we've crossed the Zad pass (2,178m), we'll stop for lunch in Midelt before proceeding towards Erfoud via Errachidia and the picturesque Ziz valley. From there, we'll head to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi for our desert tour, culminating in a relaxing evening at a hotel in Merzouga with dinner and overnight accommodations.
Following breakfast, we'll embark on a grand tour of the dunes, passing by a variety of oases such as Merzouga, the village of Khamlia (home to the Gnaoua people), the Mifiss mines, the desert plains where we'll encounter Berber nomads, and the Tissardmine oasis. We'll return to the hotel to depart on our camel caravan and enjoy the sunset, spending the night in Berber tents amidst the dunes. Dinner will be served at the bivouac, where we'll also spend the night.
We'll rise early in the morning to witness the breathtaking sunrise before returning to the hotel on camelback. After breakfast, we'll journey towards Rissani and Erfoud to explore the marble fossil plant. From there, we'll proceed to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad before arriving at Toudra Gorges, where we'll have lunch. In the afternoon, we'll continue our trip to Dades Gorges via Boumalne and the picturesque Dades valley. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be provided at a hotel.
Following breakfast, we'll make our way back through the Dades Valley towards the Ait Youl Kasbah, passing through the beautiful Rose Valley with its Kasbahs and ksours, offering some stunning views along the way. After reaching Kalla Mgouna, we'll stop for lunch before embarking on an afternoon journey to the palm groves of Skoura, where we'll visit the Amredhyle Kasbah. Finally, we'll continue our trip to our hotel, where we'll have dinner and spend the night.
Following breakfast, we'll visit Ouarzazate, including the Taourirt Kasbah, the Tifoultout, and the cinema studio. Next, we'll drive to the Kasbah of Ait Ben haddou, which is under the protection of UNESCO. We'll explore the Kasbah and the old village, and in the afternoon, we'll depart for Marrakech via the Tizi N'Ticha pass. We'll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening, and we'll drop you off at your hotel, concluding our 5-day/4-night Fes to Marrakech desert tour.
